Project Overview
ForeverLawn Charleston installed 12,500 square feet of Playground Grass Ultra to create Brooks Playground. The customer originally approached ForeverLawn Charleston, focused on solving a drainage area problem in a flood zone. They wanted a safety surface they could count on to drain properly but also to serve the kids and space for a new playground design. The playground was designed to be a fully inclusive playground for Brooks, a young, physically impaired girl who lives in town. With the help of family, the community, and the City of Greenville, Brooks Playground was brought from vision to reality.
With the specific goal of making it accessible for people with disabilities, Brooks Playground meets all ADA accessibility requirements, and serves as a host location for school groups, visitors and locals.
