717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood – ForeverLawn Penn-Ohio
After 25 years of annual field maintenance, the Cafaro Company and Mahoning Valley Scrappers were tired of the time, money, and personnel poured into maintaining the natural grass surface. In addition, over the years, Eastwood has become the premier field for high school tournaments, all-star games and skill challenges, the YSU men’s baseball team, and high school commencement ceremonies. In the spring months, maintaining a natural field with the unpredictable Northeast Ohio weather and making it playable has become increasingly difficult, and left some of their local partners upset when games were cancelled or postponed. ForeverLawn Penn-Ohio was able to provide a solution, using SportsGrass to provide a durable, low-maintenance field that would handle all types of weather easily.
