30. Don’t Compromise on Your Values

Have you ever let the pressure of a situation force you into a bad decision?

As news circulated that astroturf had gone out of business, many remained restless and searching for answers. While several astroturf dealers jumped to quick-fix solutions, Dale and Brian took the time to get things right.

They were losing money and people everyday, but the Karmie brothers continued to keep their values at the forefront as they weeded through their options to make the best next step.

Despite high pressure stakes, Brian and Dale took nine weeks to diligently research before making their next step.

If you have ever been in a high pressure situation, it can be hard to sit and thoroughly think through a decision. Most people cut corners so they can make a quick and easy decision. Few people take the time to sit and truly think through what the long-term consequences will be.

Whatever the decision may be, it is within this high-pressure heat that we we refine our character. So, how do you want your story to read? What will you stand for?

Lay that foundation now, so that during your next high-pressure situation you can make a decision that represents not only who you, but the legacy you want to leave.
