36. Opened Doors and the Uncashed Check

Have you ever taken a check but refused to cash it?

With the intention of establishing that their company has a national presence, Brian and Dale added a short little phrase to the newly established ForeverLawn website that started to trigger a lot of opportunities they had not foreseen.

People are starting to reach out to expand ForeverLawn into new territories and to become dealers of the brand. In Brian and Dale’s eyes, these were doors being opened that they had not really planned on walking through at the moment.

Not wanting to completely shut the door on opportunity they meet with several individuals interested in becoming dealers and walk away with a check that they shove into a drawer for several weeks.

Recognizing the opportunity God was presenting they decide to walk out in faith and eventually cash the check.

This episode is a great reminder that our plans are not always God’s plans, and sometimes we are required to step out in faith and walk through the doors He is opening.

Don’t let the fear of what’s on the other side of the door prevent you from taking a leap into the unknown.
