The Memphis Business Journal published an article today celebrating and detailing the new playground created at Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, Tennessee. The school chose to have ForeverLawn Playground Grass installed for maximum safety.
The article provides details of the new playground created for students in Pre-K through fourth grade, called the International Outdoor Discovery Center. This amazing playground is nothing like you’ve ever seen before, and is a space where kids can have fun while discovering the world.
“The new playground has 14 different structures that represent a tour of the world on a multicolored turf designed as a replica of a Rand McNally world map”, says Michelle Corbet, a reporter at the Memphis Business Journal. “Students can travel from Cape Horn, South America, to the Great Wall of China without touching the ground”. What a fun way for young students to learn the countries of the world!
Playground Grass was used for the turf not only because it comes in fun colors, but because it’s the safest option around for playground surfaces. Our Playground Grass has been ASTM safety rated for falls up to 13 feet, which is 5 feet above the requirement for guaranteed safety.
We are thrilled with how the Lausanne project turned out, and excited for the students who now get to enjoy this beautiful playground. To read the full article, visit the Memphis Business Journal.
