ForeverLawn chosen for 105,000 sq. ft. football/soccer field in the City of Hollywood, FL.
Jack Mathison, Assistant Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts said “The quality and responsiveness of the ForeverLawn team over the past four years made the decision a pretty easy one. The success of the product and our experience with the company with over 100,000 sf of ForeverLawn installed in multiple parks was one key in the City’s decision to move in this direction. ForeverLawn offers us an opportunity to have a premium playing surface that is beautiful, cost effective and safe for the kids. The cost savings from maintenance and our ability to save 8 million gallons of water a year were also significant factors; especially in this difficult economic time for Florida municipalities.”
Ty Allen of ForeverLawn Florida has been the key contact for the City of Hollywood and oversaw the project. “It’s exciting for us to be able to build on our success in the playground arena and carry that up to the level of athletic fields.”
The installation of the football/soccer field will be a great addition to the Hollywood park system, and is expected to see much use. The durability of the grass will enable the field to be available 24/7 for the next decade.
